There's a contents warning file in with the game files, but there's a degree of tongue-in-cheek going on there. On the one hand, there's a little bit of everything. On the other hand, it's all very light. So light that I'd hesitate to call it fetishy in the first place, but mileage on that can vary dramatically. It's 99% lesbian, in any case. So that probably counts.
It's been a few years since my last playthrough, and I can't seem to access the Dragon Castle. Walkthrough is kind of useless on that part. Do I specifically need to use the spell of confinement on Draconic Crusader, or am I missing something?
She might be a late bloomer. Unfortunately, a hard drive crash and backup failure has left me scrambling around for old copies of my source files, but there shouldn't be a way to lock yourself out of completing the dragon sanctuary. But if she doesn't come around by the time you're trucking around with your 5th/6th regular party member, then something may well be wrong.
So I managed to figure out what went wrong with the dragon castle, but apparently, releasing the Harpies is permanently missable. I can't talk to the wind spirit or get the crystal, even if I reload the save I have that's closest to the point in the guide where it says to go there. The only difference between this save and the guide is that I rested with the mermaids before going to the cliffs.
There are a couple of missable elements like that in DreQ. It was, in many ways, the game that helped me figure out how to do, and not to do dependencies. The good news is, there are a lot of rewards for imperfect playthroughs in DreQ.
Hi there! First off, this is a wonderful game, and I love each and every princess. That said, I had a few questions…
I’m not actually sure where to find Giants to cage??? (EDIT: Never mind, found Ogres in northern Ost Oros.)
I’m not sure if the Caged Abominations go anywhere other than the nearest shop?
(possibly related) There’s a protection monolith sitting around Black Catherine’s hideout that the game suggests I can take ‘somewhere’, but near as I can tell, there’s nowhere to take it to?
I seem to be missing exactly one Heronium. v_v The guide mentions a curious option for one, ‘USE Ashe’s Cape’… except I’m not sure I ever got a cape from him, and I don’t see one in his cell? (EDIT: Never mind, I didn’t look up.)
Thank you again for the wonderful game.
EDIT: Well. Turns out all I needed to do was complain on the internet for half of these questions to find their own answers. :V
That's the magic of the internet for you. The Abominations/Elementals gardens was intended as a potential expansion that never quite materialized. The Great Disaster sort of has to fill that role, regrettably, but I'm pretty satisfied with the result as well.
i really dont understand what im supposed to do at the harpy cliffs. there's just a person that says they're bathing, an inert monolith, and a hole with something shiny inside i cant interact wit
That is likely to come up later, depending on where you are in the game. The key event there depends on how you handled the harpies at the Tower of Wind, too. It may simply be a thing to come back to.
i eventually figured it out, i think the trigger was a convo i missed in the cypress castle basement. that said, turns out the person bathing was one of the harpies yet to be freed and the line was just triggered by the water on the bridge that would eventually be below her lol. just finished the true end, really loved this game! played it right after embric and qe, and im playing aaa as im typing. hope you keep making cool games!
I have finally hit true true end. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. A groundbreaking work of fiction and fun. Makes me want to revisit Embric a bit too.
Ended up signing up for the Patreon as well, because fuck it, I've paid more for worse, and I want to see more of this stuff. (And maybe contribute drawings)
/edit oh my god, my pic is still in the embric install files. amazing
Over the past twenty-seven hours, this game has made me laugh out loud, cry (also out loud), and pump my fist up in the air with a big, "YIPEEE!" To say that this is my game of the year for 2025 is no exaggeration; I've enjoyed every step of Hinoki's journey.
Thank you a million times for such a lovely experience!
None of these women are even remotely sane or suitable for a position of leadership. Fantastic game, I am thoroughly enjoying the drama. It's a perfect mix of horrible decisions and absolute comedy.
The Kings of Cypress & Corundum maybe? They're pretty much the only important male characters I can think of that MIGHT be straight? Any other male characters, it's not clear or really relevant to the story. I think a npc near the spider queen's tower expresses minor interest in her, so impressed with her thread making skills, he was considering asking her to marry him only for Garnet to let him down easy, telling him that he wasn't her type. For female characters, I'm not sure. It's not obvious for many of the not focused on female characters, though most of the ones that receive any amount of focus are gay, bi, pan or queer in some way. Gender is also not obvious or important regarding several npcs. Nonbinary, maybe? For important heterosexual relationships, the only ones I can think of right now are Garnet's parents. Garnet's mom was highly sought after by many before her marriage and her sexuality isn't obvious. Same with the maid Gauche.
A running joke is that all of the monsters look like girls and most of those monster girls are interested in Hinoki and Co and each other, though others aren't concerned regarding the gender of the humans they're after regardless.
The main playable characters are all female, and are lesbians as far as I know. Also there is incest between certain playable princesses that are cousins. This is tagged in the content warnings.
I'm not sure about the Elemental camp, but you find out about the Dryad camp from asking around at the yurt, which you discover by asking around at the farm by the lighthouse. The Dryad camp itself is in the forest to the upper right of Castle Corundum and left of the security checkpoint. It's a leafy stalk formation in said forest.
DreQ is one of my favorite games. Although I feel like all the Large Battleship games make that list. The writing in these games never ceases to amaze and capture me completely. From big story moments to interacting with random items, each bit of dialogue always adds to the characters and the experience as a whole. DreQ always throws something unexpected at the player and it always had me excited to see what would come next.
I've been a supporter on patreon for a long time and have never been disappointed. Looking forward to Alouette's full release as well as the newer projects. Keep up the good work as always!
I played this prior to its official release, and I found it to be an excellent and eminently enjoyable RPG that exemplifies the many admirable signatures of Large Battleship Studios. New players should be prepared to laugh, cry, and reexamine the human experience in equal measure - and not to be surprised if it's all within the span of a single conversation instigated by idly examining a shelf or coffee table. This may very well be the best-written cast and most poignant story of adventure of 2024!

As I recall, that will open up either when you confine the Draconic Crusader, or once she reveals herself after Queen Xenon's missions.
She's revealed herself, but it still hasn't opened up.
She might be a late bloomer.

Then something is wrong. I've hatched my dragon and grabbed Argon, even went back to Pantera Leon. Still can't get in.

This game was wonderful, I'm really just so happy to have found it and played it. Thanks for making it, genuinely.
It was my pleasure.
Thank you for finding it!

Glad to hear it, and will-do!
lol i remember having this exact problem! maybe something should be added in the guide mentioning that you may want to go back to the castle basement

I need help, I don't know how to recruit the last two succubi from the Lily prison.
Cool game (maybe?). Before I try, is it females ONLY? As in, lesbian only? Is there ANY straight content?
There are straight people, but none of them particularly matter.

I can't find the Dryad or Elemental camps :/
